We would like to share with the public that on 27-28 May 2020 the Hrant Dink Foundation received a written death threat via email. We have duly notified the Şişli Police Headquarters and the Istanbul Governorship in writing. The email included the phrase ‘We may turn up one night, when you least expect it’, a slogan used boastfully in certain circles, and the very same slogan we were well used to hearing before Hrant Dink was so publicly assassinated, and with the knowledge of official bodies, on 19 January 2007.

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe's (PACE) rapporteurs have called for the immediate release of Osman Kavala following a judgment by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on Tuesday (May 12).

Kavala, a businessperson and a rights defender, has been behind bars since October 18, 2017.
